Mr. Fuchs: ELA 8
About Mr. Fuchs:
Mr. Fuchs is an eighth grade ELA teacher at Washington Junior High School. This is his first year teaching at Washington. He spent his previous six years in education a ninth grade English teacher at the Propel Charter Schools location in Braddock Hills, Pa. Prior to that, Mr. Fuchs completed his student teaching in an eighth grade Reading classroom at David E. Williams Middle School in the Montour School District, and earned his teaching certification from the University of Pittsburgh. He also spent several years as a newspaper sports writer, after graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Point Park University.
Mr. Fuchs believes in agile instruction that meets the needs of multiple learning styles, though he does ask for three things on a consistent basis—that students read, that they write, and that they give an honest effort on a daily basis.
